Floatback

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Floatback is a patented float designed to keep hats and goggles afloat in the water. Invented by two surfers who grew tired of losing their hats, the Floatback official launch date is June 2018.

THe Floatback attaches with a velcro closure to any open backed hat, instantly making it buoyant and retrievable in water. It has a stash pocket for a key or some money and is designed with bright colors and reflective logos. Visibility is part of the design as the Floatback makes any lightweight valuables easy to retrieve in the ocean or surf.

Floatback was born from founders Carl Cetera and Adam Matricardi's passion for the water. It was necessity that mothered this invention. Carl and Adam just wanted to keep the sun out of their eyes and off their faces for those long sessions out on the water. They were also tired of losing hats to the surf. Once they realized that there was nothing else out there like it, they knew we had something. The Floatback is an accessory to the water sports lifestyle with dreams of becoming a brand that people love.

As with many new startups, the Floatback crew plans a kickstarter launch and is auditioning for a spot on Shark Tank. The patent and design process was long and arduous, but Carl and Adam have kept pushing forward and remain steadfast in their mission. Floatback plans to keep overcoming the obstacles live out their hash tag and slogan #beunsinkable. The official site for Floatback is Floatback.com. Instagram @floatbacks
