In December 2004, Flytime Group hosted its first show, Rhythm Unplugged. [2] The show was held at Fantasyland in Lagos and sold out the venue to approximately 4000 attendees. The concert had an extensive line-up—over 30 Nigerian entertainers performed same night and the show was co-hosted by comedians Julius Agwu and Okey Bakassi.[3]

Following the success of the first Rhythm Unplugged concert, Flytime Promotions began to host the concert annually in larger venues and subsequently expanded to other Nigerian cities. To accommodate the concerts’ growing fan base, shows were increasingly hosted in larger venues including the Federal Palace Hotel and Ocean View Hotel both in Victoria Island, Lagos. Most recently, the concerts have been hosted at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos.[5]

Flytime Promotions has organized many notable one-time concerts. These include ‘9ice Bashorun Gaa Versus’, ‘Omawumi Live in Concert’, ‘Bez Live in Concert’ in 2012 as well as the ‘2face LIVE’ concert in September 2010 for Afrobeats legend, 2face Idibia, the ‘DRB Concert’ and  the ‘Sound Sultan 12th Year on Stage Concert’.[3]

Following the success of the 2017 music festival, Flytime Promotions launched a three-day music festival dubbed the ‘Flytime Music Festival’ in 2018. [7] The three-day concert kicked off with Rhythm Unplugged on 21st December which featuresd artists including Davido, Tiwa Savage, D'Banj, Burna Boy, Duncan Mighty and DJ Cuppy. [7] The concert on the second day ‘RBRM’, was headlined by Grammy Award winning artists Bobby Brown and Bell Biv Devoe. [7]

To celebrate Flytime Group’s 15-year anniversary in 2019, Flytime Promotions hosted a five-day music festival at the Eko Convention Centre. It was the largest ever held by the company and was tagged ‘Nigeria to the World’.[8]
