GEO Project
From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki
GEO project[1] is distributed decentralized P2P processing, that will be able to process creation and transferring of the any type of assets and values as simply as an email.
Why GEO project?
- Not a blockchain solution. Efficient decentralisation is distribution. The protocol doesn’t imply all the participants to store and process all operations, every participant carries information only about own transactions on own device.
- Multi-equivalents – nodes can interact using multiple currencies and digital assets. Clearing will be executed only among nodes in common currency/asset equivalent. The equivalent shouldn’t represent only real currencies, it can represent anything that serves a certain economy mechanics or network segment.
- Fast and free – doesn’t require mining or any kind of network majority, doesn't need global network consensus to proceed.
- Energy-efficient – runs on low-power devices (for example, modern cellphones) and IoT devices.
- Modularity — almost all provided protocols are capable to work independently. The common dependencies are (I) trust lines mechanics and (II) low-level information transfer approaches. Also, there are several common crypto-techniques shared between protocols (III).
- Minimalism — provided solutions strive to be as simple as possible, and to solve one and only one problem. In case if the project needs solution for another problem — new research branch should be open. This is good modularity will play crucial role in efficient crypt- analising and protocols popularisation.
- Lightweights — all present protocols are capable to perform well on modern cellphones, and/or IoT devices, thus extends the frontier of modern p2p systems.
