GS Gaffer is a stage planner and event visualizing software created by Gaffer Systems[1] for MacOS and Windows.
It was created in 2017 by Glenn Alexander Neumann Berg and Andreas Ruthberg Nergaard[2]. GS Gaffer was previously named "The Gaffer Project" but was later changed due to it being confused with the band Gaffer Project[3]. GS Gaffer`s smart visual plotting system use pre-scaled 3D models and a snap grid to ensure ease of use.

Virtual exploration.[edit]
The virtual exploration tool provides the ability to experience the project in a first person view, using WASD as a main controller along side a mouse.
View selection.[edit]
View selection enables a shortcut to align the main camera to predetermined locations. As of version 1.0.3, the locations are: Top, Left, Right, Front and Back.
Perspective selection.[edit]
Perspective selection gives the ability to view the project in two different dimensions: 2D and 3D.
Environment selection.[edit]
Environment selection provides different environments for the project. As of version 1.0.3, the environments are: Stone, Grass, Snow, Planks, Green screen and white screen.
Grid snap slider.[edit]
Grid snap is enabled to help lining up 3D models in the project. It's snap point can be adjusted using the grid snap slider.
Main light slider.[edit]
Dragging the main light slider changes the sun's strength from dark to bright.
3D library.[edit]
GS Gaffer includes a comprehensive library of scaled 3D assets, the amount of models varies in the different editions of GS Gaffer.
Transformation tools.[edit]
The transformation tools is a set of tools that let`s the user interact with any asset that has been placed on the canvas.
Virtual light console.[edit]
The virtual light console is a section in GS Gaffer where the user are able to control any Fixture using the most common light console and fixture functions using values from 0-255 and a "Fixture group" selection.
Video and snapshot.[edit]
GS Gaffer Ships with built in photo and video recording capabilities.
Animation freeze.[edit]
Animation freeze toggles all active animations in the scene.
Flashlight.[edit]
Toggles a camera light to light up dark places when needed.
Form tool.[edit]
Generates printer friendly forms containing blueprints, company logo, packing list, technical specifications and other documentation alongside an emergency plan.
Client presentation mode.[edit]
Provides a clean environment for showcasing a design or an idea for a client. Comes with auto rotation feature with adjustable speed.
