Gabriel Mika Cummins is an American record producer, songwriter, musician, composer, and guitarist.[1] He writes in an R&B/Pop style that comes through in records he produced for Stacie Orrico,[2] Tamika Lawrence, and Brian Ripps,[3] as well as in his own instrumental project El Sea Three. After graduating Berklee College of Music (B.F.A. in Performance/Business) and NYU[4] (M.A. in Composition/Performance), both with honors, Gabe began performing in NYC.[5] He has since been seen on stage regularly at Highline Ballroom, Rockwood Music Hall, The Blue Note, BAM and Lincoln Center. His debut single “Buttons” was produced by himself along with Gian Stone.[6] The song was written with frequent collaborator Brian Ripps and Ben Samana, and it features Gabe playing all instruments along with his vocals on the track.[7] Recently, he has performed with Janet Krupin and Brian Ripps in their ensemble, The Jackson Massive.

Career[edit]

Gabe was born Gabriel Mika Cummins in Solon, NY. Gabe graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in performance and business. He began work as an NYU professor shortly afterwards teaching classes in music theory and songwriting. Though Gabe was never signed to a record label, he worked frequently with Atlantic Records and Verve. His latest single "King of LA" premiered on the blog Caesar Live N Loud on August 20, 2018.[8]

He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
