Gaius Chibueze Ekuri (born March 8, 1988) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, author and crypto enthusiast. He is professionally known as Bitcoin chief and he is the Chief Executive officer and founder of ABit network and Tatcoin digital currency, he authored the books Get rich off the Net' and How bitcoin changed my life.[citation needed]
Gaius Chibueze was ranked by Binance as one of the world's top cryptocurrency traders.[1]
Background and education[edit]
Gaius was born in Ikom, Cross River State on march 8, 1988, his state of origin is Enugu State.
He did his secondary education at government science school Agbokim waterfall, Etung, he also attended college of education, Akampka, Cross River State, He later obtained a degree in Business administration from the National open university of Nigeria, Abuja[2]
Career[edit]
Gaius is one of the earliest crypto investors, he bought bitcoin in 2011 just 3 years after bitcoin was created because of this he is usually referred to as Africa's pioneer bitcoin investor. He started off his career as a Senior Adviser on New Media to a Nigerian Senator at the National Assembly Abuja before relocating to the United States.
In 2016 he was awarded most popular Nigerian on social media by the Association of Nigerian Bloggers. He launched his first book in 2018 which is titled How bitcoin changed my life,[3] he also authored the book Get rich off the Net.[4] this books both have more than 5,000 purchases on amazon and other platforms.[5]
In 2019, Gaius Chibueze launched Tatcoin with purpose of creating a token that would serve as a digital currency for an ecosystem. Gaius started the Presale of Tatcoin in December 2019 and it lasted until June 2020. In the Presale he generated about $720,000 at a pre-sale price of 0.03 USD making Tatcoin Presale the most successful presale in Africa.[6]
Gaius is the founder and Chief Executive officer of ABit network, a blockchain company with offices in the United States, Nigeria, Rwanda, Ghana and Dubai. He started ABit network in 2019 when Tatcoin was launched.[7]
