Gary Barbera is an American business man who is the President and founder of Barbera Autoland.[1], an American car dealership that has been in business for over 30 years, providing both new and used Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles and services.
Early life and education[edit]
Barbera was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Eugene Barbera and Rita Barbera. Barbera graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School, and immediately began working in the automotive industry. At the age of 18, he began his career at Kutner Buick as a sales person, and a year later he was promoted to the used car manager. He later moved to California to become Vice President and General Manager at at dealership that had undergone bankruptcy.
Career[edit]
Barbera is the president and founder of Barbera Autoland in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He founded the company with his brother Gene Barbera on June 21, 1989. Barbera Autoland has gone through many changes over the years but is still located on Roosevelt Boulevard[2]. Barbera believes sales are driven by hard work and pushing a little more than other dealerships [3]
Philanthropy[edit]
Gary Barbera Cares is charity program to benefit youth programs in the greater Delaware Valley including metro Philadelphia, Southeastern, Pennsylvania and South Jersey. He is actively involved with local charities like, the Boys & Girls Club of America in Camden, New Jersey, the Philadelphia Eagles Youth Partnership Program, and the YMCA Philadelphia.
