Career
In 1993, Hays founded his own law firm, Gary Martin Hays & Associates, P.C. As of 2018, the firm has represented over 40,000 Georgia families in personal injury, wrongful death, workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability claims.
Hays is known in the Atlanta area for his TV commercials, which featured longtime actor Robert Vaughn until Vaughn’s death in 2016.[1] His current commercials feature Judge Joe Brown.[2]
In addition to his firm’s TV advertising, Hays is frequently seen and heard on TV and radio in the Atlanta area. He is the creator and host of "The Intersection: Where Country Meets The Cross," featured on WKHX (KICKS 101.5 FM) and WUBL (94.9 The Bull FM) in Atlanta.[3] In 2008, Hays founded Keep Georgia Safe, a nonprofit education focused on providing safety education and crime prevention training.[4][5] In 2015, Hays and his nonprofit published a book, “If I Were In Charge,” collectively authored by 30 students at Greater Atlanta Christian School.[6] In 2017, Hays, in conjunction with Keep Georgia Safe, funded the RadKIDS program in the Marietta City Schools.[7][8][9]
Since 2008, Hays has been a part owner of the Atlanta Gladiators (formerly the Gwinnett Gladiators) minor league hockey team.[10] Hays was a featured sponsor of The Heroes Project, the proceeds of which raised thousands of dollars in donations for cancer research.[11] Hays served as the producer of the 2013 documentary “Mi Casa Hogar” and as the host of the 2014 Biography Channel documentary “Stand and Serve.”[12] Hays is also a restauranteur. He is an active investing partner in Local Republic in Lawrenceville, GA.[13][14]
In 2017, Hays was interviewed by television and radio host Larry King regarding his legal career and advocacy.[15]
Hays is a noted safety advocate in the Atlanta area who is frequently quoted by local news outlets.[16][17][18][19][20] He is also a national safety advocate who has appeared on CNN Headline News.

In the 2015 film Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, comedian Bill Engvall plays Gary Martin Hays, who is the White House Chief of Staff.[27] In 2018, Hays’ law firm shared a promotional image based on the film’s poster, featuring both Engvall in his role as Gary Martin Hays and the real-life Hays.[28]
Personal
Hays grew up in South Alabama and Northwestern Florida. He currently lives in Duluth, Georgia with his wife, Sheri, and three daughters.[29][30]
