Biography[edit]

Gaurav Krishna Goswamiji was born on July 06, 1984[3] into the lineage of Swami Shri Haridas, who was the force behind the appearance of Shri Banke BIhariji in Vrindavan, India. Being born into a lineage that was based on 2 soul factors: recitation of the divine scripture - Shrimad Bhagwatam; and the divine influence of classical shastriya sangeet, it was only obvious that Gaurav Krishnaji would take on these two responsibilities with utmost dedication. At the young age of 18 he recited his first scriptural discourse[1] in the presence of more than 20,000 devotees. He received his primary education in an English medium and also gained knowledge of the sanskrit language and got the holy title of Vyakran Acharya. Apart from his learning, he also listened to 108 weekly Bhagavat kathas from his holy Guru and father Pujya Shri Mridul Krishan Shastri Ji Maharaj before sitting on the Vyas Peeth for the first time.[4] Till date he has narrated more than 350 week long discourses in cities like Jalandhar[5], Hoshiarpur, Delhi & Shuktaal. Today he is considered a pillar in the narration of the Shrimad Bhagwat and is recognized as a well established Devotional Singer[1] in India and abroad. His teachings in form of articles are published in the speaking tree edition, The puppet master[6] & In Quest Of Ananda[7] are 2 of them.

Musical Career[edit]

Gaurav Krishna Goswami is mostly known for his devotional lyrics and compositions in Hindi and Punjabi. The most popular is Radhe Radhe Barsane Wali Radhe/Braj 84 Kos Yatra, in 2006 it is said he had a dream where the divine force instructed him to come up with a way to allow those individuals, that may have physical restrictions or may not be able to be present to take part in this form of pilgrimage, to be able to do so. It was that very moment he conceived the idea of creating a virtual pilgrimage throughout braj by reciting the names of the places along with the holy names of the Lord, today known as "Maansik Braj Yatra". There have been many versions of this yatra since, and his concept has now been adapted by various artists throughout india. In addition to this his various musical presentations have been successful in bringing the youth closer to spirituality.
