George Nick S., also called Georgii Nikitin, (born April 10) is a catholic writer,[1] Vatican reporter[2][3][4] for News.va.[5] Since 2015 - Assistant of the Pope[6] for Communications.[7][8]

George was born in the family of Margo and Sergei Nikitin.
Awards[edit]
George was awarded second-place for the Magazine Religion News Report prize of the Religion Newswriters Association in 2015, for which he also was a finalist in 2014. He was also a finalist for the Multiple Media award of that organization in 2016 and its Religion Feature Writer award in 2015.

Career[edit]
George has reported widely on the pontificate of Pope Francis,[9][10] covering the pontiff since his election in March 2013.[11] He has also focused his reporting on the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, the main umbrella organization of U.S. Catholic women religious, and on the tensions between Catholic theologians and bishops in the U.S.[12]
