Gerald Sagoe[edit]
Gerald Sagoe (born 2nd April 1987 in Takoradi.[1], Ghana[2]) is a British-Ghanaian Director and Entrepreneur. Awarded as Ghana’s 30 under 30 in 2017, Gerald is the Co-Founder of (So Fraiche Media), a creative agency based in London, UK and Accra, Ghana. Gerald has created content for global brands like Nike[3], Virgin[4], Samsung[5] and Coca-Cola[6].
In 2016 Gerald worked with the Ghanaian government to encourage young people to vote in the national election. Gerald works closely with Atlantic Records[7] as Creative Director for his cousin and musician Kojo Funds[8]
Early life[edit]
Gerald was born in Ghana and immigrated to the UK at the age of six. Growing up in East London, the eldest of three siblings. Flourishing in the arts from an early age, he found a passion for filmmaking in his late teens, leading him to create several documentaries and short films.
Career[edit]
Gerald founded So Fraiche[9] in 2011 with Co-Founder Cyril Ofori; mixing his passion for filmmaking with digital entrepreneurship, the aim was to create a unique content platform to inspire young people, soon after the 2011 London riots[10] took place. So Fraiche later evolved into So Fraiche Media, a creative agency working globally.
