Ahvaz is the center Khozestan province and a big city in south west of Iran. The Ghadir Bridge is the eighth bridge made on Karoon. This beautiful and modern bridge is a new symbol for the metropolis. Every city is known for its beautiful symbols. The symbols that are taken from the identification and geography of that land. Ahvaz is a historical place with a lot of beauties and a great culture and the calm and patient Karoon which is one of the wateriest river of Iran. It comes from Bakhtiari mountains and divides the city to two beautiful eastern and western parts.

Ahvaz is also called Bridge city because of having 9 bridges which is the most number of bridge and the most beautiful ones in the middle east. The main way of the bridge is in the center of Ahvaz in Amanieh region on the west side of Karoon to TakhteSoleyman street on the east side. It’s one of the most traffic parts of the city.

Ghadir bridge is the largest bridge in the middle east because it is 1014 meters long and it has two eastern and western group ramps in 372 meters long a 325 concrete deck 2060 centimeters width 1360cantimeters car lines width.

The bridge towers are 81 meters far from the water level. There are 32 coble with 170 kilometers length on both sides of bridge. The total amount of retentive cobles is 240 tones and they are connected to the bridge basis in 32 couple rows on the sides and eight rows of cobles are on each side of the tower so that two cables are used in each base as the retentive.
