Good Uncle delivers food to heavily populated areas from restaurants, such as Joe's Pizza and Sticky's Finger Joint, that would otherwise be less accessible for these areas. Such restaurants have granted Good Uncle the rights to use their recipes in Good Uncle kitchens and then to deliver this food..[1] They target college students on the campuses of the University of Maryland as well as Syracuse, Lehigh, and Colgate universities. Their delivery system is not door-to-door, like others, but instead focuses on "drop-points."[2] Institutions such as First Round Capital, Box Group, and Gunderson Dettmer, and founders of startups like Warby Parker, Birchbox, Flatiron Health, Seamless, Sweetgreen, and SinglePlatform have invested $2.2 million[3]
