Goodnight, Charlene Film
Goodnight, Charlene is an American, independent film released in 2019. The film is the writing/directing debut of Chris Zuhdi and is a crime fiction, neo-noir set in a fictitious, border town in West Texas.
The film premiered at the Arena Cinelounge in Los Angeles January 25, 2019 and opened to mixed critical reviews. The film was reviewed by Noel Murray for the Los Angeles Times, who admitted "the film has the right set of influences: Jim Thompson novels and the Coen brothers' "Blood Simple", but felt "the writer-director and his cast and crew are working on too modest a scale to make the picture pop."
Goodnight, Charlene was produced and filmed in Texas and is being released by LA based distributor and sales agent Indie Rights.
