Goodnight, Charlene
Goodnight, Charlene Film
Goodnight, Charlene is an American, independent film released in 2019. The film is the writing/directing debut of Chris Zuhdi [1] and is a crime fiction, neo-noir set in a fictitious, border town in West Texas.
The film premiered at the Arena Cinelounge in Los Angeles January 25, 2019[2] and opened to mixed critical reviews. The film was reviewed by Noel Murray for the Los Angeles Times, who admitted "the film has the right set of influences: Jim Thompson novels and the Coen brothers' "Blood Simple", but felt "the writer-director and his cast and crew are working on too modest a scale to make the picture pop."[3]
Goodnight, Charlene was produced and filmed in Texas and is being released by LA based distributor and sales agent Indie Rights.
