    GuitarLayers is a macOS guitar and bass learning & teaching software for managing scales, chords and arpeggios shapes on the guitar fretboard.     The software includes a parametric controls interface and a layering system for overlapping structures such as scales, chords and arpeggios shapes.

    Its principal features are: the enharmonic notation for the structures, the possibility to apply to the structures some music theory operators such as scales modes, chord inversions, drop voicings, the possibility to arrange structures on the fretboard in various ways: vertical shapes, custom shapes with a customizable notes-per-strings number, strings set selection.

    The software performs also automatic scale harmonizations with common or custom chords or arpeggios and recognizes and names any set of three or four notes the user inputs, by finding equivalent chords, rootless chords and incomplete structures.

    GuitarLayers is actually released with version 2.2.4.
