Gundi-Dachina
Gundi-Dachina (Dachina) is a small village located in the north of Jammu and Kashmir state in India. It is just 5 km away from Bandipora, and 50 km away from Srinagar. It the small village in Bandipora district. There are many small villages around it. It is a prosperous and modern village with a population of 1424 (as per 2011 official census) . Gundi-Dachina is inhabited by Muslims only. In this village there are two government schools, one primary school, and another is middle school. Besides Government schools, there is a private school also in this village.
The level of education in Gundi-Dachina has slightly increased in recent times. The main occupations of the people include agriculture, trade and Government services. In Gundi-Dachina, there are 3 mosques, a Jamia mosque and an Eid Gah. Gundi-Dachina market consists of almost 20 shops selling daily consumable including vegetables and fruits. For major shopping purposes, the local villagers visit the main market in Bandipora town.
In Gundi-Dachina, there is also a water treatment plant, which filters the water for three villages including Gundi-Dachina, Brar, Aragam.
