Considered as king of a village area called Haldi in Ballia. From time interval 1919-1924 due to his good deeds and works for people of that area.

Amarnath Upadhyay born on 17 May,1891 to a rich family of Brahmin in an area called Haldi in Ballia was an honest, kind child from birth. When 28 he donated about 87 Lacs rupee to the people of his village according to some local ancestral sayings.

He also played an important role in freedom of ballia by funding the Indian independence movement in Ballia. People still respect him and his family due to what they have given to the village.
