Background[edit]

The album is to feature cover versions of popular horror and Halloween related songs. It was originally announced as an EP for release in 2017, this release was delayed as the project was expanded into a full album. Weston sporadically posted updates about the album in 2018 and 2019, confirming the inclusion of several tracks although no confirmation was made of any recordings. Halloween was rumoured to be one of Weston's yearly Halloween releases in 2018, 2019 and 2020, however none of these came to fruition.

In March 2021, having not spoken about the album since 2019, Weston confirmed it would now be titled Sirens and would be released later in the year as his seventh studio album.
