From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

HallyuPopFest 2018 is a South East Asia K-pop festival held across 3 days, 7-9 September in Singapore[1]. HallyuPopFest 2018 featured 21 performing acts, made up of 111 South Korean artists[2][3] and was held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.[4][5] The festival was first announced via a media release on 24th May 2018, by organisers at Singapore-based firm H.A.H. Entertainment.[6][7]

Event Line-Up[edit]

HallyuPopFest 2018 had a line up of activities which incorporated Global Auditions, Showcases, Red Carpet, Artist Engagement sessions and Evening Concerts.[8][9][10][11]

Global Auditions[edit]

Starship Entertainment Saturday 8 September
Cube Entertainment Sunday 9 September

Showcases[edit]

Showcases were held in the afternoon of the festival. Showcases duration were 90-120 minutes, where the performances were more intimate, up-close and personal by two selected artists each day.[14][15][16]

Red Carpet[edit]

The Red Carpet was held outside of the stadium where the artists attending the festival would walk the red carpet, answer questions from the media on the make-shift stage and pose for photographs.[17] Fans were lined on either sides of the red carpet to cheer and interact with the artists.[18]

Day 1's Red Carpet was disrupted by the rain, the artists continued the Red Carpet walk with umbrellas.[19][20] The originally scheduled Q&A sessions were called off, the artists did not stop to answer questions from the media. Popular boy group, Wanna One, made a short stop when the rain paused to answer few questionnaires. [21]

Days 2 and 3's Red Carpet proceeded without rain.[22][23]

Artist Engagement Sessions[edit]

Fans who bought the DAEBAK! Pass (a premium ticket) were entitled to an Artist Engagement session after the Red Carpet that included a Hi-Touch and a Group Photo.[24][25]

Evening Concerts[edit]

Evening concerts were the main component of the festival and began at 8pm on each night. Eric Nam was the concert host for all 3 nights. Wanna One performed on both Friday and Saturday night as the headliners.[26] Each artist performed between 4-8 songs.[27]
