"Hamari Adhuri Kahani" (English: Our unfinished story) is a Hindi song from the 2015 Bollywood film Hamari Adhuri Kahani.[1] Composed by Jeet Ganguly, the song is sung by Arijit Singh, with lyrics penned by Rashmi Singh.[2][3]
Background[edit]
The song was composed by Jeet Ganguly who has composed some of today's big hits. The lyrics were penned by Rashmi Singh who is also has made a great opening as a lyricist in music industry with songs like Muskurane and Khamoshiyan, this song is co-written by Virag Mishra(Husband of Rashmi Singh). This trio is getting together for the fourth time. The trailer of the film was released on 4 May 2015 and the song was a part of the trailer.[4][5][5] [6]
Release[edit]
The promo version of the song was released on 5 May 2015 night on Wynk music. The promo version itself was super hit. Later on 7 May evening the full version of the song was released on all digital platforms. The song soon became so much popular within few days.[7] The video of this song was released on 8 May 2015 on 11 am on YouTube channel SonyMusicIndiaVevo. Within hours the video reached lakhs of views, courtesy to a positive word of mouth on twitter as well as other social media. The video couldn't make big impact as the song was already in the trailer which itself crossed over 26 lakh views within 3 days. Within 24 hours the music video of the song crossed more than 4 lakh views on YouTube, and crossed a million on 11 May. The music video crossed 2 million views on the morning of 19 May. The video then crossed 3 million views on 24 May. The video crossed 4 million views on 1 June 2015. The video crossed 5 million views on 11 June 2015. The video just got famous and famous, it crossed 7 million views on 29 June 2015.
