Adv. Hashik Thayikandy was born on Oct 21, 1973, in Kannur, Kerala, India to Mustafa and Ramlath and is the eldest of 4 children. He did his early schooling from Kadalayi South UP School , Kannur and completed his high school from Thottada Government High School Kannur. He then joined Sir Syed College for Pre-Degree and later Transferred to S.N College Kannur and completed his Pre-Degree .He graduated in BA (LAW) LLB from Vaikunta Baliga College of Law in Udupi, Karnataka and started his legal career in Kannur ,Kerala in 1995. He is a lawyer based in Dubai who is also a film producer, social worker and practicing as a legal consultant in United Arab Emirates since 1997. Adv Hashik Thayikandy. who is a Partner at Abdul Rahman Al Mutawa Associates has 27 years of legal experience in the UAE and is a well-known personality amongst the Indian expatriates community especially the Keralites Community in UAE and personally attends Indian courts on behalf of his clients . He has Served as a Legal Aid Member of Indian Consulate, Dubai and often undertakes cases pro bono and regularly conducts legal seminars. In 2001 his suggestions to improve the UAE Court System was well received and taken into consideration by Government of Dubai Courts Authority . He is a familiar face on Malayalam News channel debates and radio programmes and has authored several published articles and social commentaries. He gained prominence and recognition through Hit.FM 96.7 program "Yes Your Honour" where he provided legal awareness and aid .He is the founder and organizer of numerous welfare and cultural organizations in India and the UAE, as well as a frequent guest for numerous Indian associations in the GCC and has been honoured and recognized for his social work by them . Hashik T.K is the founder of WAKE (Welfare Association of Kannur Expatriates ) which was established to help expatriates in UAE, and he is a member of several associations and been entrusted as the President / Founder / Legal Advisor of associations such as SSCOTA (Sir Syed College Taliparamba Alumni Association), World Malayali Council etc. Presently he is the Vice President of AKCAF (All Kerala College Alumni Forum) and Global General Secretary of OICC (Overseas Indian Cultural Congress).Adv Hashik Thayikandyi in association with ACKAF organized ‘Flowers of Tolerance’ which entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest natural flower carpet. In 2022 as a member of AKCAF in association with Dubai Police, he helped in distributing over 150,000 Iftar meals across the UAE and organized Mobile Medical Units in association with Aster MIMS Kannur. As an active member of INCAS he was part of organizing Flood relief during 2022 Fujairah Floods.. He is a recipient of numerous accolades such as of Pravasi Bharathiya Tilak in 2005 from Kerala, and Recipient of the First Mangalam Pravasi award in 2012, presented by a leading newspaper in Kerala .He has been attending the Pravasi Bharat Divas as a delegate for the past 15 years.

In 2020 Adv Hashik Thayikandy used his legal expertise to help people who faced hardships due to the Pandemic. He along with several  associations organized food kits for people that were quarantined and were facing financial hardships, helped in sending bodies back home and wrote to the Indian Government for repatriation flights especially for pregnant women, those with serious medical conditions and those who lost their jobs as well as requested to grant ex-gratia monetary assistance to the family members of Indian citizens died due to COVID-19 in foreign countries/abroad for the Indian community in India .The central government of India sent a demand letter through Mr.Subhash Chand (central government undersecretary ) to the disaster management committee for the same as an aftereffect of the petition by Adv Hashik Thayikandy .In 2020 Dubai Police recognised and appreciated him for his work during the pandemic.

On the Personal Front Adv. Hashik Thayikandy is a passionate movie lover and he co-produced with Sudheesh TP his first movie ‘Pathemaari’ in 2015 written and directed by Salim Ahamed, which was critically acclaimed and a box office success .The movie won National Award for Best Movie under the Regional Category and depicted the life and challenges of a Malayali who immigrated to the Middle East in the 60s .His upcoming movie is “1001 Nunakal” with debutant director Thamar and co-produced by Salim Ahamed and Sudheesh TP Adv Hashik Thayikandy is a native of Kannur and has been residing in Dubai with Mrs. Fareeda is his wife, and the couple has three children (Simreen Hashik, Sidhan Hashik and Sayhan Hashik).
