From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Hayden Rose (born 8 April 2003) is a radio and digital content producer for NZME.[1] Rose is currently the producer of "The Mike Pero Nelson All Sports Breakfast" on Newstalk ZB 1341AM every Saturday from 7am - 9am.[2] Rose also produces "Sportswave" on Radio Sport 549AM every Saturday from 3pm - 6pm. Both shows are hosted by local radio personality, Murray Leaning.

Early Life[edit]

Rose was born in Nelson. He attended primary school at Enner Glynn School and was educated at Nayland College from 2017 to present. In 2018 he travelled to Wellington to meet Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern at Premier House after winning a competition from opposition radio station, The Breeze.[3] He was a member of Nayland College's Boys rowing team from 2017 - 2018.

Career[edit]

Rose was first introduced to radio at Broadgreen intermediate in 2015 where he managed and presented on the student station, Radio Broadgreen.[4]

In early 2017, Rose started his own station Peak FM, although it was short lived.[5]

After Peak FM went off air, Rose was approached by local radio personality Murray Leaning. Rose went on to intern at NZME Nelson where Leaning taught him the skills and tricks of the trade of radio.

In early 2018, Rose finished up as an intern and was put on the payroll as a Radio Producer. He now produces two shows out of Nelson on both Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport.

During the Nelson Fires in early 2019, Rose produced all of the local content that was voiced by Leaning and put to air on the Newstalk ZB network.
