Hobzy (Social Network)
Hobzy was a social content network created in 2011 and dissolved in 2015. The service allowed users to upload examples of their hobbies to gain feedback, find inspiration and join a worldwide like-minded community.
The service was launched during the first cohort of Birmingham based Oxygen Accelerator[1] by co-founders Andy Robinson, Dan Rice and Alex Major.
Hobzy attracted over 7,000 active users in its first 10 days of launch prompting a seed round of investment from local investors[2] and subsequent investment from London based Ascension Ventures[3] before growing to 100,000 users.
