Hsinchu County American School
Hsinchu County American School (HCAS) was established in 2016 using a religious home-school based system that was poorly adapted to the Taiwanese education system or the needs of the students.. It currently pretends to follow the Dalton Plan, although the "labs" are just clubs and there is no "assignment".
HCAS is part of the organization under the Ton Yen General Hospital which includes Korrnell Academy.
It claims of being recognized by both the American Institute of Taiwan (AIT) and Taiwan Ministry of Education mean little. Both organizations will recognize any registered school. This does not grant HCAS diploma granting rights in Taiwan or American.
It receives poor reviews in independent international school review.
