ICIAM Collatz Prize

The Collatz Prize is awarded by ICIAM (International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) every four years at the International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics, to an applied mathematician under the age of 42. It was established in 1999 on the initiative of Gesellschaft für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik (GAMM), to recognize outstanding contributions in applied and industrial Mathematics.[1]

Named after the German Mathematician Lothar Collatz, it is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious prizes for applied Mathematicians.
