iFood is a food delivery in Brazil owned by Just Eat Takeaway.[1]

iFood was founded in 2011 in Sao Paulo, as a website; the company reached 80% of market share in Brazil in 2015. Having Movile as its main shareholder, iFood experienced explosive growth. In 2018, they received another round of capital investment (around $500M, the largest tech funding in Latin America to date) from Naspers and Innova Capital.[2]
Acquired by Just Eat Takeaway[edit]
On July 2, 2020, Just Eat Takeaway has a 33% stake in the Brazilian food delivery company iFood. The other Dutch tech giant Prosus has a 55% stake in iFood, and there are reports it is willing to acquire Just Eat's stake. According to JET's management, the company has received offers as high as €2.3 billion for its stake. The highest offer puts the value of the entire iFood enterprise at €7 billion, so the EV/Revenue ratio is 14.[3]
