In The Loop Podcast

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

In The Loop (Previously named Week in Review, In The Loop Live, and CoasterCrew's In The Loop) is a weekly podcast (Although the schedule can take up to six weeks between shows) that involves Clint Novak, The Legend, Hyde, Ranger, Drew The Intern and various other guests or friends of the hosts talking about theme park and amusement park related news in either a serious or comedic tone relating to how they feel about the news story. They rarely go into sad/depressing news unless they have too and tend to avoid political discussions. The Podcast can vary between just under an hour to three hours. Often they will mention on their twitters and facebooks before they record the show to ask fans what they should talk about and various questions they have. Before becoming their own company, They were associated with Coaster-Net.com, Thrillnetwork.com, and CoasterCrew.com. They also performed shows through Blog Talk Radio.

Show Segments[edit]

  • And Speaking Of Busch. A segment that used to be on the show while Joel was a cohost. It would be a lead into a Busch Gardens or SeaWorld related news story/topic.
  • Disney News. A Segment that tends to be the ending of the show where Clint Novak or Drew The Intern would do a Mickey Mouse impression and then give the segment to the Legend who would then talk about various Disney related news stories from Movies to theme parks.
  • The Annoying Part of the Show. A Segment created by Drew The Intern where the Host(s) list various videos they have posted on their youtube channel.
  • Legend has it. A Former segment where Legend would give random advice from ordering expensive Steak to not riding various rides.

Recurring Characters[edit]

  • CP Fanboy. A Parody of Cedar Point Enthusiasts usually spoken in a high pitched voice. Meant to be a joke on Drew The Intern.
  • Larry Larson. A Character created by Drew The Intern performed by either him or Clint Novak who would do a Southern impression who is excited about Larson Super Loops. Created in 2016 due to the amazing release of four Six Flags Larson Loops. Running gags include mentioning how they're coasters.

Hosts[edit]

  • Legend is an unknown white guy who loves Baseball, Football, and Wrestling; Has been dating a girl called Molly for several years and has been the second longest co-host of the podcast after Clint Novak. Running gags is that he loves drinking. He is well known for hating "girl" movies including Pitch Perfect, Tinkerbell, and Brave. Another running gag is his use of the term "Trashy people" and love of Disney Parks. Like Drew, He isn't a big fan of Halloween related events. His homepark for years was Adventureland in New York and got a brick for their new Turbulence coaster.
  • Drew The Intern is the second of the major hosts to have been married. Before becoming a Co-Host, He managed the In The Loop Live Phone Lines and would guest star a few times before his first time on April 23, 2013. He is well known for saying random comments that are hilarious. Like Legend he tends to quote various stuff from park shows including Bill & Ted. His name comes from originally working on the show as an intern while he was in College and despite no longer being an intern, Is still called that.
  • Clint Novak is the general manager of a park in Virginia. He was the creator and after an IAAPA mistake the "Ower" of the show. He is most well known for wearing a dress on Shockwave at Kings Dominion as part of a promise that he would if money was given to Give Kids The World. Drew the Intern has described him as the Queen of England. A running gag is that he hates Fried Pickles and Salad. He is far more political than Drew or Legend.
  • Hyde is a host who was a friend of Drew The Intern before joining on the former In The Loop Live youtube show and guesting on the official audio podcast. He is well known for his international travels, drinking, and knowledge of Cedar Point.
  • Kenny aka Spoon is a co-host who is a father to his son Chase and Husband that lives in Illinois.
