In Through the Out Door were a Canadian nu metal band formed in Toronto in 1997 by the late Steve Cullins on vocals, Mark Smith on guitar, Ethan Yaucher on bass and Kevin Pauls on drums. The band released their first studio album in 1999 and it went platinum in Canada. In 2002, the band released their second album Straight to Hell, which was supported by a tour in North America and in Europe. Cullins died at the age of 23 from a drug overdose, on October 9, 2003, ending the band. The band was named after the Led Zeppelin album In Through the Out Door.
