Inkstone.[1] is an English-language news website covering China. It publishes six stories a day[2], focused on China, its relationship with the United States, and why it matters. It is available on the web, via a mobile app and through a daily newsletter.
Inkstone is a unit of the Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post, with a stated mission to “translate China” and to provide insight into a “rising potential superpower.” The site launched in March 2018[3]
The publication’s editorial staff comprises a team of bilingual multimedia journalists in China and Hong Kong. It is headed by Juliana Liu[4], senior editor, previously of BBC News and Reuters, and Alan Wong, editor, previously of the New York Times.
