Inspiry Technology
Inspiry Technology is an Chinese multinational technology company with headquarter in Beijing, China. It develops, manufactures, supports and sells computer software, and payment terminals. It's one offline mobile payment(mainly based on QR-code) solution provider with 70% market share[1] in China's self-service QR-code payment terminal market.
Inspiry’s president Wang Yue, founded the company in 2002. Around 2006, Wang and his team developed the Han Xin code (汉信码), the first national QR-code standard in China.[2]
In 2008, Inspiry pioneered the development of mobile QR-code payment technology and launched the first self-service QR-code payment device, Inspiry Smart Box, which was applied in such areas as card and voucher write-off, financial payment, electronic ticketing, and event attendance tracking[3].Today, the 6,000 KFC outlets in China use inspiry glass-topped point-of-sale scanner that can process both Alipay and WeChat Pay, the country’s dominant mobile payment apps.[4]
Inspiry is working closely with several organisations in Japan, as well as with AliPay and other international mobile payment brands, to boost the use of QR code payment in Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and the wider Asia region.[5]
