The International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) is an international nongovernmental organization created to advance human rights causes for all global citizens.[1] The body was founded in 2009 and operates in accordance with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) under consultative status registration number 215487/2014.[2]

Mission[edit]

The organization has 112,000 members in 41 countries. It functions as an autonomous, non-partisan nonprofit with the mission to protect, uphold and uplift human rights around the world. IHRO works in alliance with partners in over twenty countries as an advocate for human rights, creating legal frameworks and advancing human rights awareness.[3] Its knowledge capital is established through research, policy and advocacy wings which impanel scientists, analysts and domain experts, legal counsel, think tanks, academics and universities.[4][5][6][7][8]

Organization[edit]

The organization's main headquarters are in India, with executive headquarters in Argentina. The world Chairman is Nem Singh Premi and world Vice Chairman is Mohamed Ben Sadok Barhoumi.

Goodwill Ambassadors[edit]

The International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) is represented by several Goodwill Ambassadors from across the globe, each of whom are prominent leaders in their respective fields. These appointed representatives further the aims of the organization in meetings with sovereign counsel, government bodies, administrative authorities, and other concerned committees and parties, advocating the social cause of human rights for important issues around the world.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21]
