Into the Air: A Kiteboarding Experience is a 2005 kiteboarding documentary shot on location in San Juan and La Parguera, Puerto Rico. Filmed in the early days of the action sport, director Marq Morrison follows professional kiteboarder Paul Menta as he hosts a group of riders for a week and a half of filming on island locations around Puerto Rico. Includes early interviews with Menta and now-well known kiteboarding influencers and pioneers such as Julie Simsar , Andy "Grasshopper" Hurdman, Bri Chmel, Laurel Eastman, Cameron Dietrich, Damien LeRoy, and Kevin "Top Hat" Senn. In 2005 and 2006, "Into the Air" won three Telly Awards.[1][2], Best Sports & Recreation Documentary at Art & Tur International Tourism Film Festival[3], and Digital Video Awards's Best Documentary.[4][2]
