Introducing the Blues

This debut album by Classic Blues singer, Herley Taylor, who goes my the stage name of 'Papa Jay' was recorded from February through June thirteenth, 2018 in Denver, Colorado inside one of the many music studios that is owned by the Denver Public Library system and is open free for public use to anyone. Every song, expect for one, of this nine-track LP record was originally recorded by Classic Blues singer, Ma Rainey, back in the 1920s, however, they are all now accompanied by a new singer with a new voice from the 21st century. The exception song is titled, 'Tricks Ain't Walking No Mo,' and was originally sang by blues singer Lucille Bogan.
