Irshad Ali (born February 21, 1990) is an PNBA.[1] professional men’s physique Athlete and the 2015 PNBA Mr. World men’s physique champion. Irshad is the only[2] athlete who has won a professional men’s physique world title from New Zealand[3]

Bodybuilding Career[edit]

Irshad's first bodybuilding competition was the NABBA Christchurch National Amateur Bodybuilding Association 2013, where he took 3rd. He first competed professionally in the 2014 Natural Olympia, San Diego, placing 6th respectively out of 12 world class natural athletes. In 2014 Irshad signed as a brand ambassador with Balance Sports Nutrition[4]

In 2015 at the PNBA Mr World Championships (Professional Natural Bodybuilding Association) Irshad won the title against 14 men making it a first for New Zealand. At the 2015 PNBA Natural Olympia, Irshad placed 5th and many critics said he would not likely place any higher. On September 30, 2017 Irshad placed a controversial 2nd at the prestige Natural Universe competition where natural bodybuilding legends like Mike O'Hearn have previously competed.

Irshad has been featured in many fitness and bodybuilding articles, including being pictured in New Zealand Fitness Sports Magazine and been invited on Maori Television CODE[5] as a special guest. He has been featured in The New Zealand Story video commercial that defines the distinctly Kiwi attributes in New Zealand. Irshad has also had the opportunity to train[6] and learn from bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman 8 times Mr. Olympia champion.
