Island Bay Italian tomatoes
"Island Bay Italian tomatoes" are a variety of tomato descended from those brought to Wellington New Zealand by Italian immigrants[1][2] who settled in Island Bay, New Zealand. This plant has now been grown for many generations in the Italian community of Island Bay New Zealand[3][not in citation given][4][not in citation given]
It produces large, bright red tomatoes and is held in the collection of the Koanga Institute, who preserve heritage New Zealand seeds[5]
