Isuru Ariyarathna

Isuru Ariyarathna is a quantum chemist who is specialized in chemical bonding, excited states, and superatoms.[1]

Early life and education

Ariyarathna earned his bachelor's degree in Chemistry at University of Peradeniya in 2014. In 2015 he joined Auburn University to pursue his PhD and worked under the supervision of Evangelos Miliordos.[2] During his PhD he worked on Quantum analysis on Chemical bonding and excited state chemistry. Ariyarathna pursued postdoctoral work under Heather Kulik at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Awards and honors 1) Distinguished Dissertation Award at Auburn University 2) CCG Research Excellence Award ACS COMP Division 3) Harry Merriwether Fellowship at Auburn University 4) Dow Fellowship in Chemistry” at Auburn University.
