Jack Glover (born May 17, 1996) is an American ice hockey defenseman. In November 2013 he committed to play for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's ice hockey team of the NCAA Big Ten Conference.[1] Glover was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the third round (69th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Junior career[edit]

Glover trained with the USA Hockey National Team Development Program team during the 2012–13 and 2013–14 seasons.[2] Glover is rated as a top prospect[3] who was invited to participate in the 2013 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game[4] and was projected as a possible first round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft,[5] however he was not drafted until the third round when the Winnipeg Jets took him 69th overall.[6]

As a 15-year-old he played with Team USA at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics,[7] and as a 16-year-old he help the USA squad capture a bronze medal at the 2013 World U-17 Hockey Challenge[8] As a 17-year-old, Glover was chosen to compete with the American U-18 squad to help Team USA capture the gold medal at the 2014 IIHF World U18 Championships.[9]
