Introduction[edit]

Dr.Jeet Ram Bhatt(जीतराम भट्ट)is a learned academician and poet of Hindi, Sanskrit and Gadhwali. As a scholar of high repute, Dr.Jeet Ram Bhatt has devoted himself to the revival and regeneration of the ancient Sanskrit language. He has revived the age old tradition of writing shlokas and stotras in praise of the diety. He is also the translator and editor of various Sanskrit ,Hindi, Gadhwali books. He is the proud receiver of two prashasti patra from government of India and government of Delhi. He has authored 55 books and is the editor of 60 Sanskrit Hindi & Garhwali books, he has also published various research articles. Dr Jeet Ram Bhatt was Secretary of Delhi Sanskrit Academy for more than 5 years and Secretary of Hindi Academy, Delhi for 7 years and he was founder Secretary of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Academy Govt. of Delhi. Now he is working as a Director of GGLS Prachya Vidya Pratishthanam, Delhi.

Early life[edit]

Dr. Jeet Ram Bhatt (जीतराम भट्ट) was born in 1962 at Bhattwari in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. He was awarded Ph.D in 1998 from H.N.B Garhwal University,Shrinagar, Uttarakhand and he also received the D.Litt. from Lokmanya Tilak Vidyapeeth, Maharashtraand, He was awarded M.A (1994) from Himachal Pradesh University as well as Acharya (1986) from Sampuranand Sanskrit University.After completing his Ph.D Dr. Jeet Ram Bhatt took up research in Sanskrit language, He has published several research articles in Sanskrit, Hindi & Garhwali Languages for the upliftment of the languages & Literature .

Recognition[edit]

Dr. Jeet Ram bhatt is well known for promoting Sanskrit through all possible mediums taking it from daily household to the national television. Under his leadership various Sanskrit conferences and teaching center for Sanskrit, Pali, Hindi, Garhwali, yoga, Ayurveda, Jyotish, Karmakand, Adhyatma have been established. Taking Sanskrit from a language used only in rituals he has made it possible for common people to converse in Sanskrit through his efforts in Sanskrit grammar which are published.

    देव स्तुति एवं भक्ति में प्राचीन काल से चलती आ रही पद्धति को पुनः उजागर करते हुए की गयी द्वादश ज्योतिर्लिंग की स्तुति अपने आप में साहित्य में नई खोज है इस स्तोत्र में स्मस्त द्वादश ज्योतिर्लिंगो की आराधना है।
  आराधना में जिस प्रकार ज्योतिर्लिंग का नाम है उसी प्रकार उससे नाम के प्रथम वर्ण से समस्त छंद लिखे गये हैं।

       प्रातःकाल जीतू सोया हुआ है। शोभनी के ससुराल में जीतू को दो दिन हो गये। शोभनी की ननद वरुणा धीरे-धीरे आती है और चुपचाप जीतू की थैले से बाँसुरी निकालती है । शोभनी देखती है, किन्तु कुछ नहीं बोलती है। वरुणा गायों के साथ 
   जंगल चली जाती है। आगे गायें और पीछे से वरुणा कुछ देर में जीतू जागता है। वह अपने थैले को देखता है और अपनी बाँसुरी को खोजता है। जीतू अपनी बहन शाभनी को पूछता है।
                                                           English translation 
       Jeetu is sleeping in the morning. Its been two days since he is at his mothers house. Shobhani's sister in law varuna comes quitely and steals a flute from Jeetu's bag. Shobhani 
    watches this but doesn't utter a word. Varuna takes the cows for grazing in the jungle,Jeetu wakes up after some time,searches for his flute in his bag then asks for his sister Shobhani
