Jeremy Hutchison is a British artist. He works with performance, video, text, photography, and found objects. His projects explore globalisation and consumer culture, often highlighting how they function within histories of power and colonisation. In 2016 he was selected as an "Artist to Watch"[1] by the Contemporary Art Society in London.

Exhibitions[edit]

Hutchison's work has been the subject of exhibitions at ICA London, Modern Art Oxford, Victoria & Albert Museum, Fondazione Prada, Jerwood Foundation, EVA International Biennale, Kunstverein WeisbadenZ33Museum of Science and Industry, Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, CCCA Manchester, Raw Material Company.

Awards and fellowships[edit]

Hutchison attended the Slade School of Fine Art. In 2011, he was the winner of the Barto Dos Santos Memorial Award[2] and shortlisted for Saatchi New Sensations. He attended the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program between 2014 to 2015 and was the winner of the Sotheby's Art Award.
