John Langtry (diplomat)

John Langtry is the current Australian ambassador to Mongolia, and Australia's first resident ambassador there, a role which he began on 22 December 2015.[1][2] He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.

Career[edit]

From 2013 to 2015, he was the assistant secretary at the North East Asia branch. He has also served overseas as deputy head of mission Berlin, and with other roles in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Beijing.[3]
