John Lowry Lamb[edit]

John Lowry Lamb is an American novelist, screenwriter and actor. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1954.

His acting career began in 1971 where he appeared for three seasons with The Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival in Lakewood, Ohio. His ambition took him to Hollywood, where he appeared in several television shows in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Among those are M*A*S*H, SKAG (appearing alongside Karl Malden and Piper Laurie) and several episodic TV shows. He turned to writing but occasionally appeared as an actor, notably as Mike Myers’ acting double for the role of Stuart in So I Married an Axe Murderer, 1990.

In 1982 he co-founded The National Science Fiction Radio Theatre and acted as producer, writer and director. (Ganymede Johnson, Interstellar Gamesman, starring Robert Denison and Cloris Leachman.)

His first novel, The End of Summer, was published in hardcover by Simon & Schuster in 1995 and in trade paperback by Washington Square Press. Subsequently, the novel was translated into 5 languages – German, Greek, Japanese, Hebrew and French (2 editions.)

He co-wrote the screenplay for the 1998 motion picture Postmortem, starring Charlie Sheen.
