Jonny Hines

Jonny Hines (born July 14, 1952) is an American lawyer, currently working for Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Moscow, Russia.

Life and Career

Hines was born and raised in South Orange, New Jersey, the son metals factory owner. His family is Jewish. He attended Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey. During his time there, Hines, Buzzy Hellring and Joel Silver created the rules for what he called "Ultimate Frisbee." He was later inducted into the USA Ultimate Hall of Fame as a result of this. He finished his undergraduate studies at the Princeton University and attend Virginia Law School.

Hines began his career at clerking for Judge Robert W. Sweet. He has worked mainly in M&A in the energy sector for Debevoise & Plimpton, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP (eventually Dewey LeBoeuf) before landing at Morgan Lewis.

Jonny Hines is married to Olga Dyuzheva, a professor at Moscow State University. He has two sons from a previous marriage, Sam and Josie.
