Joshua John Peter Green, born 16th of September 1996 in the John Radcliffe hospital Oxford, is an English goalkeeper. He started his time playing for the local youth team Southdown Athletic from the age of 8. He was there until he turned 16 and joined Burgess Hill town. He played his first year in the under 18's team in the Sussex county youth division where he won the league and was also key to the clubs Isthmian youth teams success that year where they won their respective league. During his second year at the club he became the Isthmian youth teams first choice goalkeeper, again having a successful season winning; The Ryman Isthmian youth league, The Ryman Isthmian league cup, The Sussex county youth cup and The Isthmian youth play off final. The team also made it into the second round of the FA youth cup where they played against Bristol city under 18's making some crucial saves which took the game into an unlikely period of extra time where the strong Bristol city team scored 2 goals ending all chances of an upset. Josh then went on to play a rare 3rd year of under 18 football having joined a year early but the team could not match the highs of the previous year. In the 2 years after under 18 football Josh played for the Burgess Hill Under 21's team and got some tasters of 1st team football making his debut against the now high flying Dorking wanderers in an away 1-0 loss in the league cup. He also got some minutes against both Crawly Town and Northampton town keeping a clean sheet in both periods of the game he played in. Josh then made the move to play for Lancing F.C where in his first season he was a pivotal figure in the teams first trophy win in decades, saving a penalty in the Sussex county league cup final against Newhaven. In 2018 Josh went to play for Hassocks who he had played for a few times in previous years which helped him gain some game time in men's football, as well as being part of their Under 18 team alongside playing for Burgess Hill Isthmian team. Josh played for Hassocks for nearly 2 years before deciding to leave in 2019. Later that year he re-joined coach Nigel Pearce who had been with him during his time at Hassocks to play for St. Francis Rangers, who have previously been statistically the worst team in England, and played with them during the years of the COVID-19 pandemic in between the lockdown periods. Josh Became team captain for the start of the 2020-21 season.
