Justin Jaynes (born August 10, 1989) is an American mixed martial artist. A professional since 2008, he currently competes in the Lightweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Background[edit]

Jaynes placed second at the 2015 Michigan High School state wrestling tournament, losing to Drakkar Klose in the finals.[1] Jaynes then continued his wrestling career at Olivet College. [2]

After a cornerman for Matt Frevola tested positive for COVID-19,[3] Jaynes stepped in to fight Frank Camacho on three days notice. Jaynes knocked Camacho out in the first round, the second fastest knockout in a debut in UFC history. [4] [5] He earned Co-Performance of the night honors. [6] [7] J
