KL International School of Chongqing Bashu (KLIS, simplified Chinese: 重庆市诺林巴蜀外籍人员子女学校)is a co-educational international school serving students Prek-12. The KL International School of Chongqing Bashu's mission is to prepare creative, collaborative, and curious students who will thrive as educated global citizens, self-sustaining learners, and ethical leaders. The school's motto is to be "A Responsive School for a Changing World". KL International School of Chongqing Bashu is located in Longhu South Garden, Yubei District, Chongqing, China.[1][2]

Origins and history

KL International School of Chongqing Bashu was established as a non-profit international school in 2015 and is approved by the Ministry of Education in Chongqing.[3] As of 2016, KLIS is the second international school in Chongqing registered with the Ministry of Education and is the only non-profit international school in Chongqing. The capacity of the school is 300 students.[4]

KLIS Academics

KLIS academics are based on an American PreK-12 curriculum. The school only accepts foreign passport holders.[5] The academic program follows the US Department of Education's Common Core Plus Framework and uses differentiated instruction in the classroom.[6]

Tuition KLIS's tuition for school year is approximately 125,640 RMB for PreK students and 192,000 RMB annual tuition for Years 1-9 students,209,000 RMB annual tuition for Year 10.[7]
