Kallous Boys

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Kallous Boys are a British electronic outfit formed as early as 1982 by Joe Manning (Calvin J Mole)and Vincent Adams (Vincent Van Hire) as a side project to their involvement as live and recording members of Tim Gane power electronic outfit Unkommuniti being contributors to Unkommuniti albums Live at the Anarchist Bingo Hall ( Now The Garage (music venue) ) and the Split LP "Statement" on Broken Flag Records along with Ramleh (band) and Philip Best pre/post-Whitehouse outfit Consumer Electronics. Early Kallous Boys output was released as cassette only via Black Dwarf Wreckordings with two full length albums - "Kick it" and "Internal Damage" released 1983/84 that took full advantage of the new wave of affordable electronics and recording equipment such as Fostex X15 fourtrack cassette recorders and Roland SH-101 synths.

Having never offically ceased to exist and putting out numerous CDR releases such as "Interim" available via the now defunct Porkweasel website , the FLAC only release "Short Blue" via Musiczeit.com and various fanboy limited edition cassettes ( Such as the 2010 album "Damage Controlled" which was released sewn into a cloth bag made from a limited run of fabric from the Scottish College of Textiles)the band were approached by Steve Underwood of Harbinger Sound and manager of Sleaford Mods in 2010 to be interviewed about their early output and Unkommuniti for his magazine As Loud as Possible this resulted in a very limited edition 7" Kallous Boys EP being released as part of the limited edition Unkommuniti box set Black-Dwarf-Wreckordings-83-85released in 2013. Now mostly releasing occasional tracks via the Tundrasonics soundcloud page Kallous Boys occasionally threaten to release another full length LP called Pandemonium Shadow Show.
