Molla Mamo, better known by his alias Karayılan or as Molla Mehmet was a Kurdish Freedom Fighter and Soldier, operating in South East Anatolia in the Ottoman Empire. His career began during the First World War, fighting against the Russians in the Caucasus Mountains.[1] He was most famous because of his offensive against the French Invasion of Aintab (Antep), in which he won, even though people say otherwise.[2][3][4][5]
