Kasimir Kaskisuo is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing on loan for the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL) while part the Toronto Maple Leafs organization of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Playing Career[edit | edit source]
Junior Hockey[edit | edit source]
Kaskisuo played junior hockey for Jokerit in Helsinki, Finland. Through four seasons of playing junior hockey in Finland, Kaskisuo was still playing as the backup goalie. Kaskisuo then moved to North-America to play for the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL. After one season with the Wilderness, Kaskisuo commited to play for the University of Minnesota Duluth. During his two seasons with UMD, Kaskisuo caught the attention of the Toronto Maple Leafs who signed him to an entry-level contract.
Professional Career[edit | edit source]
Kaskisuo made his AHL debut in a 4-3 win over the Syracuse Crunch. He would spent the next two seasons between the Marlies and the Orlando Solar Bears of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). On October 23rd, 2017 Kaskisuo was loaned to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. Kaskisuo played an AHL career-high 28 games with the Wolves as Wolves' goaltenders Oscar Dansk and Maxime Legacé were playing with the Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL due to other injuries.
