Katie Schide is an American ultramarathon runner. She lives and trains in France.[1]

Ultrarunning[edit]

In August 2022 she won the UTMB Mont Blanc race in the women's category with a time of 23 hours, 15 minutes, and 12 seconds. She ranked 22nd overall. She has previously finished in the top ten for the UTMB Mont Blanc race in both 2019 and 2021.[1]

She has had various achievements in ultra running previously. She won the Val d'Aran by UTMB in 2022 race in the women's category (ranked 6th overall). In June 2019, she won the Marathon du Mont Blanc in the women's category and ranked 20th overall,[2] and in in 2018, she came second in the UTMB CCC race.[1]

Her current UTMB index is 784.[2]

She is sponsored by The North Face.[2]

Personal life[edit]

Alongside running she has been studying for her PhD with a focus on earthquakes in Nepal and she is also an avid skier.[3] Schide's partner is ultra-trail runner Germain Grangier.[4]
