Career[edit]
Kaustav Sinha (born 10 April 1986), is a Casting Director, VFX Producer, Talent Agent/Manager & Film Producer. He was born in the beautiful town of Chittaranjan, which is known for Chittaranjan Locomotive Works. His passion towards movies grew when he wrote a yet-to-be-produced horror/thriller feature film story, titled "Inexistence". He learned Visual Effects from the Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) in 2008. In 2009, Kaustav got the golden opportunity to work in the UK Short Film production of The Hunt for Gollum, as a Digital Matte Painter. He went on to work as Matte Painter in few more projects, until in 2013, when he worked as a Matte Painting Supervisor in the Canadian feature film, The Storm Within (2013 film) for the Alchemy24. He founded and is the CEO of the Digital Matte Painting & VFX freelance studio, "Matte-Effect". It was in 2014, that Kaustav was drawn towards casting direction and talent management. He executive produced 2 short films, namely "The Interrogation" & "Lust" both in 2013. In 2017, Kaustav VFX produced the Irish short fan-film, known as "Predator : Celtic Days". Finally in 2018, Kaustav VFX produced the Hollywood horror feature film, "The Haunting of Sharon Tate" starring Hilary Duff and Jonathan Bennett, which is in the post-production stage. Since 2013, Kaustav has created and been developing a horror IP, known as "Gear Man"; a short script, based on the character of Gear Man was mentioned at the 2013 edition of A Night of Horror International Film Festival in Sydney, Australia; Kaustav is developing a feature version, and is in the script stage. Currently, he is producing and casting a romantic/drama feature film, which was written and is based on the novel by Andrew Neiderman, titled "Illusion" and is expected to be shot in 2019, with an April 2020 release. He has been residing in Kolkata (Calcutta), since 2004.
